How To Become an Inspirational Man

Step 1: Watch the video

(Yes, the voice sync is out of alignment and if it’s a problem for you, just close your eyes and listen)

Step 2: Accept this challenge

My challenge to you is to take on just ONE of the many incredible ideas on this video and apply it to your life for 1 week.

Just one. Just 7 days.

You don’t need to apply all of them at once, just take on one and see what you can do with it.

Here’s a list of the ones I picked out of the video:

-Stop focussing on where you are, focus on where you want to be
-Stop worrying about talent and start cultivating your skill. Become better, every single day – “Die on a treadmill”
-Stop trying to build a wall and just focus on laying one brick as perfectly as you can.
-Make a difference to someone’s life
-Dedicate yourself to representing a possibility
-Get rid of your plan B and commit to plan A
-Be unrealistic. Being realistic is the most commonly travelled road to mediocrity.
-Decide who you’re going to be and how you’re going to live your life, then accept nothing less
-Pick one thing and focus on it relentlessly. Let go of everything that’s not getting you where you want to be and dedicate yourself to the one thing you NEED to work on, right now.
-Attack your fears
-Stop telling yourself “You can’t do something…” and start asking yourself “What do I need to do to be able to do this?”

I guarantee you that if you apply one of these, the difference you make to your life will be unlike anything you’ve ever expereinced.

So, what are you going to take on?

  1. The one I took is quite significant to my life:

“-Stop trying to build a wall and just focus on laying one brick as perfectly as you can.”

I’m applying it to the concept of accepting the way people live. I’m not trying to change their visions, I’ll just accept that they might disagree with me. And fine, I’ll respect that.

    Will Smith deserves our respect.

  2. Will Smith is the man. Thanks for sharing this. I think it’s important to do it the way you said. Habits need to be developed slowly. Picking one at a time and making sure to follow through is the most important way to go.

It’s awesome how you broke down all the concepts he talks about. It would be impossible to put them all into your life at once but if you get 3 down in a few months you’ve probably already made some big strides in improving your life.

Thanks for the article. I definitely found it motivating.

    • Awesome mate. I’m glad you liked it.

One of my mates sent me the link and there was just so much gold in there, I felt like I had to share it.

So what are you going to take on?

I’m going to take on “Stop trying to build a wall and just focus on laying one brick as perfectly as you can.”

This is great. I think it’ll really help me produce FAR higher quality work in all areas of my life.

  4. Hey Leigh

    My two choices are these:
    – Stop trying to build a wall and just focus on laying one brick as perfectly as you can.(I will try to overcome my fears making a challenge step by step).

-Decide who you’re going to be and how you’re going to live your life, then accept nothing less. ( I want to be strong, powerful, confident, real, open and honest).

    Thanks for the article Logun.

That one just jumped out at me, I get a sense of power from it already. 🙂
